Before and After (basic adjustment)

Notes:  Click on each link to see the image full size in your browser (you may need to click on the + if your browser shrinks it automatically).  In this image, basic adjustment consisted of: 1) Remove highlights from veil; 2) Slightly darken highlight in the reflection off the picture in the background; 3) Darkening the highlight of the light source in the upper right corner; 4) Overall lightening the entire image while still retaining detail in the white wedding dress; 5) Slightly darken just the background; 6) Adjust color balance for white dress and good skin-tones (the effect of this varies slightly from monitor to monitor); 7) Slightly reduce color saturation; 8) Slightly soften the entire image (you may need to look at the larger image to more easily see this effect); 9) Basic crop.
